The Foundation develops, initiates, and supports dozens of programs throughout the country

To realize its vision and advance values of equality, diversity, excellence, and leadership, the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation operates dozens of programs focusing on five areas: Access to and success in higher education, academic excellence, the arts, impact entrepreneurship, and leadership.
The Foundation takes part in the programs’ development and supports them, initiates research, builds strategic partnerships, and achieves measurable results by applying innovative assessment and evaluation models. All programs – initiated by the Foundation or supported by it – work to create a cohesive, diverse, equal, and outstanding society.

The special programs operated by the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation to ensure access to and success in higher education seek to reduce social and economic gaps in Israeli society, by providing a central tool for social mobility – higher education. The Foundation works with young people who do not have access to higher education or cannot translate it into commensurate employment. By participating in these specialized programs, young people are given the opportunity to express their abilities, to excel, and to contribute to society in their own way. The Foundation participates in the programs’ development and supports them, initiates research, builds strategic partnerships, and reaches results measurable by applying innovative assessment and evaluation models.
Through its programs for academic excellence, the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation helps develop the next generation of exact science, humanities, and social science researchers, and encourages the research activities of scholars from diverse backgrounds. The Foundation supports the development of knowledge in its fields of expertise, works to disseminate it among the academic community and social organizations, and fosters collaboration with international research institutions. The academic excellence programs work in cooperation with Israel’s institutions of higher education.
The Edmond de Rothschild Foundation’s programs in the arts seek to expand the connection between the Israeli art world and social action, to engage young artists in community involvement, and to make artistic language accessible to as many communities as possible. Partnering with leading institutions of higher education in the field of art and design, the Foundation operates programs for artists and students. Program participants work among residents of communities in Israel’s social periphery, exposing them to art and helping them develop and acquire skills – and find their unique talents and ways of expression.
The Edmond de Rothschild Foundation’s programs in the field of impact entrepreneurship seek to create a local language of impact and build the infrastructure required for the Israeli ecosystem. The Foundation defines impact according to three categories: Intention – endeavoring to create a distinct social impact while generating a financial profit Accurate measurement of the social impact Measurement of financial profit The growth of the social impact field encourages the flow of new economic capital and aids in the development of products, tools, and methods for addressing pressing global challenges through various solutions: Sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, and accessible basic services at fair prices, including housing, healthcare, and education.
The path to building a sound and progressive society in Israel, which enables equal opportunity and fully expresses the diverse populations that comprise it, is to nurture and promote young leaders from the periphery. The leadership programs operated by the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation through the Rothschild Partnerships organization, grant their participants an equal opportunity to make an impact – regardless of their ethnic, cultural, religious, or gender affiliation. With the tools provided to them, participants integrate into key positions in Israeli society and promote, each in his or her own field, values of equal opportunity, solidarity, and mutual respect.
