The New Pioneers >>
An infrastructure for demographic growth and youth-driven revitalization
Young pioneers will settle in areas damaged during the war, where they will lead processes of renewal, demographic growth, and long-term prosperity
We will train and equip them with tools and resources, supporting business ventures and social initiatives, and assisting them in building strong, impactful, and locally connected communities.
Goals:
| • | Demography: Increasing the number of young residents, local and new, in the area’s communities. |
| • | Employment: Raising the number of young people in commensurate employment in the region. |
| • | Leadership: Expanding the number of young people in leadership and entrepreneurial roles, and broadening the scope of their impact. |
Course of action:
Young Pioneers | The Circular model
| • | A magnet for young adults and communities: Encouraging and empowering local residents and young pioneers to collaborate in the community’s growth |
| • | Culture, leisure, and community life: A holistic “social infrastructure” approach, in partnership with the local and national government, to cultivate a sense of place-based belonging and long-term rootedness |
| • | Quality employment: Guiding young adults toward high-demand professions and creating local employment opportunities in skilled, well-compensated fields aligned with their education |
| • | Training and resources: AI-enabled “launchpad” centers providing innovative training, tools, mentorship, incentives, and collaboration to foster local entrepreneurship and leadership |

Research: Experiences and Perceptions of Young People Following the War
The Edmond de Rothschild Foundation invites foundations, donors, and Jewish federations to join a critical national initiative: moving beyond rehabilitation toward the growth and flourishing of communities in the Gaza Envelope and northern Israel, with young adults as the driving force.
We welcome partners to contribute to this strategic plan through training, resources, community-building, and other initiatives that encourage young people to settle in these regions and participate in their renewal.
